Asian Bible College is very much indebted to Church of God in South India as an Institution guided by it for enrichment of Bible Studies and ministries work . Actually the Miller Bible College which was started in 1931 and based at Chengannur was re-established as Asian Bible College in 1978.
The Church of God in South India is a reformation movement started in 1881. However no individual has been identified as its founder. Rev.Daniel S. Warner and some other servants of God may be said to be the Pioneer Leaders of this movement. It is note worthy that the work in India was not initiated by any missionary from the West coming here. The work of the Church is spread across the states of Andhra, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Regional chapters, under the direct leadership of Pastors organize the celebration of Mass, Prayer meetings conventions, Sunday schools for educating the children on matters of Christian faith
